Sparkle Time

It’s that time again – The Sparkle Weekend is coming… Fri 10th – Sat 11th – Sun 12th July 2015 – and it’s going to be bigger, better and brighter. I am trying to stay calm but I know it’s taken a lot of hard work to get things together to celebrate…

It’s over the full two days of the weekend – and there are some amazing artists and people from the trans* and LGB community. I know Ruth Hunt from Stonewall will be there and Paul Martin from the LGBT Foundation – both organisation have adopted trans into their reach.

Also Kellie Maloney – love her or not so love her – she has been one of the faces of trans in the last 12 months. I also hear Stephanie Hirst might make a visit too – she has been an inspiration to many.

But that just the boring stuff – Miss Sparkle and Miss Golden Sparkle are back, also the trans-guys are actively involved too, making the event a real transgender celebration.

What else – ASDA – they are sponsoring the stage the first large high street name to openly get involved, and also Chix, CoOp and Gaylife Magazine. Of course Sparkle’s had great support from the trans* press too Repartee, Transliving (sponsor Transtastic too) and Frock – all there.

Then the artists – people I’ve heard of, and lots of them. It’s going to be amazing…

See you there - and bring your best dresses!
